Joe Pitt Series

I recently finished Already Dead and picked up the second book in the series, No Dominion. The books are mostly dialogue, a sharp contrast to non-fiction I regularly read. Things are really busy these days, so some popcorn fiction is the way to go. Whereas reading Collapse (and to a lesser extent, Cosmos) feels like taking an engrossing college course, Charlie Huston's work feels like watching a limited HBO series... with vampires.

While the regular routine of reading chapters and summarizing them in this blog isn't being applied to these works of fiction, I am finding it more enjoyable not stressing about an overall thesis or organization of the material. The downside is that my reading comprehension isn't being as rigorously exercised as it could be, but I have plenty of scientific literature to keep me sharp.
